Beccles Lido Limited (BLL) was set up in 2009 by Shaun Crowley, Suzanne Gibbons and Maureen Saunders to acquire the old and neglected heated open-air swimming pool in Beccles and to create Beccles Lido.

BLL is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity, and BLL Directors are Trustees of the Charity.

Having established Beccles Lido as a successful, community-run enterprise, in 2013 BLL acquired and now also manages Beccles Public Hall & Theatre. John Cushing, Terry Dentith and Sue Bergin (all since resigned) had been recruited to the Board and under their stewardship the Hall was established as a popular entertainment hub in the heart of Beccles.

In 2012 Beccles Lido acquired Big Dog Ferry, and Eric Wareham (since resigned) established the Big Dog Ferry operation which has become a popular attraction on the River Waveney for trips between the Lido and The Locks Inn Community Pub in Geldeston.

The Board now has 7 Trustees as well as a Managing Director.

Each asset has its own dedicated website and this website serves primarily to introduce Beccles Lido Limited and its assets, as well as providing access to its Annual Reports & Accounts.
